Where to start? Six months ago Susan, my wife, and I were struggling to make it on SSDI. We had enjoyed a successful life with each other where in Susan was prosperous in the pharmaceutical industries and I had a flourishing career as an architectural design builder. The problem was our cost of living was based on our income not our social security. We realized that we could no longer keep up with the bills of our former lifestyle while on SSDI. We set out on a quest to reduce our cost of living. Our plan included selling off much of what we had obtained in our busy lifestyle, thusly minimizing our out going finances so that our life would be sustainable on SSDI.

After a year of studying possible avenues for our new lifestyle, we came to the conclusion  that the only way to survive was to move into off grid living. We distributed the wealth that we obtained in our life together between our children and set out to purchase land that we could afford. We discovered that not everyone was as honest and forth right as Nevada Land Investments. After a few bumps in the road we with the help of John Abbott found ourselves nustling into our new homesite on a 1.13 acre lot in the northeast corner of Nevada. In the 3 months that we have been here we have built a 16x12 well insulated tent cabin, equipped with solar battery 12 volt lighting and cell phone charging system propane gas stove and heater. This tent cabin is our temporary  building site home and office. We have cleared 1/3 of the sagebrush off of our acreage in order to build a 1500 sq ft. earth in Tampt earth bagged 1 bdrm 1 bath with comfortable living room and greenhouse kitchen. 

It's because of people like John Abbott in Nevada Land Investments that Susan and I were able to leave behind a cost of living that was well over $3,000 a month and are now living on less than $500 a month. We are not only financially free but we are no longer emotionally oppressed by a having lifestyle, where in we were being had and not being....
